Webinar on Decommissioning of Offshore Assets and Subsea Structures – Brazil & UK
As many of Brazil’s offshore production units are aging, decommissioning will generate significant opportunities. The revised regulation announced last year already started to unlock projects. Petrobras, the Brazilian major oil company, has recently announced plans to spend $4.6 billion to decommission 18 offshore platforms and 1,000 km of subsea risers and flowlines by 2025. Join us to hear about the ongoing ALSUB tender to decommission flexible lines and anchor systems, understand about the pipeline of projects and main challenges, and learn about innovative solutions to reduce the cost of the decommissioning operation.
This workshop is organised in collaboration between the UK Department for International Trade (DIT), DECOM North Sea (DNS), the Brazilian Society of Naval Engineers (SOBENA), and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ/COPPE), and aims to provide up-to-date information on the current scenario and opportunities in this area in Brazil, as well as share the UK expertise and promote innovative solutions.
